New Logo?
What's up, warriors? I'll tell you what's up: a new logo. We've been wanting to get a badge design going for a while now and to update our current logo a bit. So we finally pulled the trigger. Our designer came back to me with a few designs. We've narrowed it down between a few and will likely make a decision soon! What do you think? ~Chris

Dart Warz is coming
Warriors,
Last year I got the chance to go hang out with the creators and the staff at Dart Warz during their epic inter-store tournament. They brought their store staff out from Meridian, ID to battle their store staff in Centennial, CO. It was an epic day of foam carnage. Warriors gave their all and it showed.
Due to loads of unforeseen circumstances, I dropped the ball on bringing you the epic goodness of that video along with bunches of other stuff on the blog. Well, now... it's coming.
Could it be that another tournament is coming too?

Water Grenades Return to Shelves

The Perpetual Play Group has been cranking out products under a NERF license for a while now. They had some great releases under Super Soaker in 2012 with the Battle Shield, Assault Bunker and the Rocket Dart. They seemed to take the 2013 season off from Super Soaker, but at least the grenade-like throwable got a color update and are back for this year.
Speaking of water fights, a box just arrived from our friends at NERF. It includes a lot of the new NERF Super Soaker releases, so expect reviews on those to come up!! ~Chris

The Ultimate NERF Endgame - ThermoNERFular War
So, now that April Fool's is drawing to a close, let's get real. As you may have figured out pretty quick, this was indeed on of the fun pranks put on by the guys over at ThinkGeek. But now, you have the opportunity to push for it to become a reality! Get over to the reveal page and go to the bottom to vote for the NERF Nuke to get made into an actual thing. Would Hasbro ever go for it? Who knows! Is it worth the try? Yes! ~Chris
Warriors! Have you heard the latest news? The brains over at ThinkGeek just brought something out to level the playing field in your office, home or anywhere else that you can't or just won't face the enemy head on! You just have to see it to believe it:
I've been waiting for something to come along that's better than the Lanard grenade. The grenade is a great concept, but execution wasn't always the best. The bottom is weighted so that the tip (which houses the firing trigger) would generally hit the ground first, but that doesn't always work. I wonder the guys at ThinkGeek and Nerf did to make the Nuke more effective?

Cannon Commando - Foam Dart Drone
The time has come for part two of our tests for remote-controlled dart "drones". If you haven't checked out our write-up of the Badger, you may want to do that first so you're up to speed. We took that dart tank (really more of an APC) from Ignite Radio Control back to the store because there were just too many downsides to have it deploy in the field.
At the same time I found the Badger, the gents over at Bay Area Nerf got their hands on a VMD Cannon Commando
. Well, of course I had to check it out for myself. Up front . . . I plan to keep this one, even if it IS 20 bucks more than the Badger was.
The variable heights give you a wide range of angles to use. You have to set it manually, so that can be a drag in a moving situation. The fact that you can change the setting at all is nice though. It does give you some situational adaptability with how you can deploy it.

This Means War!
Warriors, we can talk about new blasters, fun ideas and what other people are doing all day. But there is nothing like getting out there and having a war for yourself! It's great when we get a chance to battle our frenemies.
After doing the Search and Recovery mission in a few settings, I'm pretty sure I like it. We will have to get feedback from the other warriors who participate to see what they think. Of course, Team Death Match is alway popular and a common style of play when you have an open field with obstacles and such.
We had some good opportunities for Shot of the Week entries here. Don't forget to turn you entries in today on our facebook page or via Instagram (@clickclickbamf)!

The Mission at Murray Chapel
It's awesome when a fun opportunity just falls in your lap. A couple of weeks ago, we had some young men from church over for a meal. They happened to look upstairs from the table and saw the Lanard Huntsman 50 sitting up there. Turned out they were planning to have a NERF War of some kind the next day.
I was able to take a half day off work for a couple of errands and then supply these guys. We set up a Team Deathmatch and some Search and Retrieve missions for them. Check out the video below to see how things went. ~Chris

Office Wars
Hey Warriors!
I saw Bazookafied's entry about office wars on the Tactical Tag blog and it got me thinking about the people at my work. I started to bring some elite pistols to work a few months ago for the occasional co-worker that needed a dart. We've been so busy with fires, floods and other breaking news that we don't get a lot of good conflicts going. I am working to change that!
There's nothing like a little fun in the office to kill the stress of a hard day. Every one is usually a really good sport and people like to mess with foam blasters since they can't really hurt anybody. I usually wait to sneak them out until the other managers aren't looking though ;)
Check out the reaction to the MEGA Centurion when I put it out in the newsroom on July 4th weekend. I kind of got that hunter in the duck blind feel from shooting out of our radio studio.
Maybe we'll get a good war going at the office when the Tek Recon kickstarter package comes in. I got 4 Hammer Heads for Click Click BAMF so that we can test out the app and blasters against each other in two man teams! ~Chris

Lessons Learned at Click Click Soak
Hey Warriors!
At the same time, we learned that the Arctic Shock is a good name. That extra wide mouth on the Arctic Shock water clip really helped get as much ice as possible in to the game. There were quite of few moments of shock on the field :)
Then we come to the Flash Blast. Love the look of this blaster. It is advertised as a way to sneak in a good shot and that's what it works best as. When my wife arrived to the event, I pulled it from where it was tucked in the back of my pants and shot her in the lens of her glasses. Shenanigans were immediately declared! I kept it nearby as a backup for a lot of the war. I figure My Last Dart could appreciate the strategy! Check out the POV video with the Flash Blast above. The sneak attack part can be fun, but I think you may get more out of the 2.6 fluid ounces in the Electrostorm (see video at the top) than you do out of the 3.7 ounces in the Flash Blast. Urban Taggers also has a pretty good rant about this blaster.
In the near future, I'll have reviews worked out for the new water blasters. Look for them throughout this season. Also, check the blog in about a week to see who won the war! ~Chris
We hope your weekend was great and full of foam and water fights! As you may have read, we had our Click Click SOAK water war in Colorado Springs on Saturday. Loads of fun all around and lots of soakage. This gave us a chance to test out the Switch Shot, Arctic Shock, Shot Wave and Flash Blast blasters from this season's releases. Special thanks to our contacts with NERF for the support on this war! Much was learned.
First off, we forgot the sunscreen! It was a long enough winter that most of us didn't even think about the need for protection from the Sun. We were out there for about 3 and a half hours, so the glowing globe did it's work. I'm still feeling it as I write this. Even the guys who did get sunscreen on forgot to re-apply it. Remember, you're probably going to need more sunblock when swimming or water fighting! LOL
